It all started with a promotional ticket-package advertisement online. I’d never been to a hockey game, never paid much attention to them on tv. I didn’t grow up with sports enthusiasts either, for the most part.
But it was only four games, and the rink wasn’t terribly far from home, and who doesn’t love to cheer on some local boys?
Y’all. I fucking LOVE hockey and I fell in love with the Heat so fast. It only took one game to seal the deal! It’s fast-paced, beautiful, brutal, a delight to the ears (the sounds of blades on ice, the collision of bodies, the slap of sticks).
Watching Draft announcements roll out has me all up in my feelings. Enjoy some of my favorite moments from the season.
