Y’all, July was busy! I’m finally starting to feel better with my grief. I can hear other chihuahuas bark without my head whipping around, convinced it’s Nacho. I feel him with me all the time. I like to think he sent Gigi and Zozo to my life and it has helped immensely.
I got to explore another little mountain-foothills-town! This time Mariposa! Which as far as little towns go, was actually really rad, welcoming, and LGBTQIA+ friendly! I’d definitely go back, and in fact plan to maybe stay there when I go to Yosemite next! It’s very nice.
My favorite west coast band came to town! The Evangenitals! They play in a few different venues depending on the time of year, but Bird & Beckett might be my favorite because you’re surrounded by books and music and amazing people. Feels almost like a Church of Weirdos which I love.
July was also World Watercolor Month. I didn’t participate as robustly as I have in years past, but I did make a bunch of cool things to add to my box of art-that-needs-a-home! If you see something you like, let’s connect. I have a few commission spots open currently as well! Cheers!
